a D&D London restaurant

Olympics

Almeida is one of London’s hidden gems, a charming neighbourhood restaurant nestled in the heart of Angel and Islington in close proximity to the Olympic Stadium. A short walk from Highbury & Islington and Angel underground station, Almeida is a peaceful haven away from the hustle and bustle of Upper Street.

Throughout Summer 2012 the restaurant is available for exclusive hire and can seat up to 120 or accommodate 150 standing, the perfect venue for any private or corporate event. The main restaurant is a sophisticated, light and airy dining room. The floor-to-ceiling French doors allow light to flood in, while the semi-open kitchen lets you see what’s going on behind the scenes. If you would like to dine al fresco, Almeida also has a stunning outsight terrace area for you to enjoy.

Our two private dining rooms also provide a fantastic venue for all occasions. Our beautifully appointed private dining room can seat up to 20 and our atmospheric Sunken Room can seat 10 or accommodate up to 30 for a standing reception.

Head chef, Alan Jones, has created a variety of menus focussing on seasonal, simple and fresh flavours cooked with the influences of classic French cooking but with a modern touch. Our varied menus can suit every event and budget, from a full three-course meal to bowl food and canapés.
